Any application of artistic talent is worth celebrating, but I have a special appreciation for crafters that start from square one and see each piece through to the finish. This class of artisans can be differentiated for their involvement in every step of the process, from hand selecting and preparing raw materials to applying their techniques of choice. The masterminds behind Stowe Provisions fit nicely into this group with their dedication to handcrafted, one-a-of-kind leather goods. This company was born out of two friends' desire to explore leather working, what better artistic expertise for harnessing the authenticity of one's materials and celebrating them in each finished piece! It shouldn't surprise you that these two are self taught, themselves raw materials to be developed just like the hide they turn into beautiful leather wallets, belts, cuffs and more. The accessories that Stowe Provisions produces are all high quality and wonderfully refined, but with a uniquely rustic feel. You can see the individual hand touch in every one. There are no duplicates because they aren't fans of mass production. They take each step one at a time, from tanning the leather to achieve rich natural tones to cutting and stamping with Americana inspired designs to then painting for pops of color before finishing. These goods will stand the test of time, but as leather, they will also show their wear as you break them in, absorbing the experiences you share, man (or woman) and their leather goods!
