Abstract art in many ways is an acquired taste with each artist under this movement creating their own style. Liking one doesn't mean you like them all, however, what I love about painters like Maria Murray of Abstract Expression by Resi is the very approachable aesthetic that seems to appeal to a wide array of art enthusiasts. Every one of Maria's pieces is unique because she is constantly trying different combinations of color and brush strokes. And yet, it's wonderful how all of these one-of-a-kind pieces fit together. Whether you hang one by itself or display a group, the colors play off each other so nicely, even some of the newer iterations she's been testing out with just a few shades instead of the whole palette. While the bright hues catch your eye, what brings you in deeper to explore her work is the movement and abstract patterns created by a diverse range of strokes. You as the viewer get the chance to pull out what meaning you see in her pieces, and she welcomes the interpretations based on your connection with her art. Maria has this wonderful humbleness and appreciation of those who support her as an artist. I love how she celebrated each new owner of one of her paintings. We artists only exist with the help of our audience, and the really thankful makers like Maria set a wonderful example for us all! Plus, these colors!
