It only took one class to get Lillian hooked. Then another and another, and she continued to add to her repertoire of techniques. With each introduction to a new area of jewelry making, this artist was inspired to explore and develop her craft more. It took no time at all for her to arrive at her own unique style, a self-proclaimed fun and funky mix of methods and materials. She likes to incorporate enameled graphics and found objects with traditional jewelry fixtures: wrapping stones in cleverly twisted wire to make pendants, linking together forgotten coins with chain to make bracelets or printing intriguing illustrations on metal for earrings and more. Using miscellaneous odds and ends gives these objects a second life as upcycled wearable art, simultaneously adding interest to each piece. Many of Lillian's enamel earrings, necklaces and bracelets also exhibit her playful flair, printed with anything from stars to octopuses to geometric shapes, some overlayed upon one another. Check out some of Lillian's latest. I personally find the bracelets made of pocket change from all over the world to be quite fun, but that's just my two cents. And both my heart and mind love the enameled images.
