Those of you who've been following this blog know that I am extremely attracted to color, but more than that, I love to find truly one-of-a-kind technique, and Robert Calloway has corned the market on both! At first glance you'll clearly see that Robert also prefers vibrant hues. He works with an expansive palette of colors from neon shades to rich jewel tones. Approach his work for a closer look and you'll likely be drawn in by his wonderful layering technique that gives incredible dimension to his paintings. In some pieces, you can actually see layers floating between the canvas and the clear seal on top. This is all thanks to lots of experimenting with epoxy resin. I would sum up the unique value of his art as amazing depth enhanced by bold use of color!

Robert has found his technique to be well suited for a range of subject matter. One of my favorites is his collection of trees. Many artists create their own representation of this iconic form, and what I love about Robert's is how imaginative they are, like Bonsais from a magically colorful place I wish I could live! Plus, the texture he creates for the leaves and then the added shine on top make for a truly eye catching piece! He applies the same approach to underwater scenes as well as abstract works. They're each uniquely mesmerizing! I highly recommend checking out his work, especially in person if you ever get the chance!
